Self-Exclusion in New Hampshire
If you need to stop gambling and want a binding way to enforce that decision, the NH Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program is the strongest tool available. One enrollment blocks you from DraftKings Sportsbook (mobile and retail), all licensed NH charitable gaming venues, NH iLottery, and gambling-related marketing — for a term you choose: 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or lifetime.
How Long the Exclusion Lasts
6 months
Shortest available term. Account access blocked across DraftKings Sportsbook (mobile + retail) and any participating charitable gaming venue.
1 year
One-year lockout. Common choice for bettors taking an intentional break to address gambling-related stress.
5 years
Long-term commitment. Account removed from all marketing communications; bonus offers stop arriving.
Lifetime
Permanent. No path back. Reserved for individuals confident a permanent exclusion is the right choice.
What's Covered (and What Isn't)
The NH program covers in-state gambling. Out-of-state operators and federally-regulated products require separate self-exclusion in those jurisdictions.
How to Enroll
Decide your term
Choose 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or lifetime. You cannot shorten the term once enrolled. Pick a length you can commit to.
Contact the NH Lottery Commission
Apply through the NH Lottery Commission Division of Sports Wagering. Forms are available at the Commission office in Concord and at licensed charitable gaming venues. Online enrollment options may also be available — check the NH Lottery website.
Submit identification
You must present valid government-issued ID. The enrollment includes a photo and signature for identification across venues. Some venues require an in-person visit; check your application.
Confirmation and activation
Activation is immediate to within 48 hours across all covered venues and operators. You receive written confirmation of your term and the date it ends.
After the term ends
Reinstatement is not automatic. You must actively request to be removed from the self-exclusion list after the term expires. Lifetime enrollments cannot be reversed.
Operator-Level Alternatives
If you want a shorter or more targeted exclusion that only affects DraftKings Sportsbook (not NH-wide gaming), DraftKings offers in-app controls.
Cool-Off (Time-Out)
24 hours to 30 daysShorter, in-app pause. Account auto-reactivates at end of period. Faster than statewide self-exclusion.
DraftKings Self-Exclusion
6 months to lifetimeOperator-level exclusion only. Covers DraftKings Sportsbook but not other NH gaming. Distinct from the NH Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program.
Account Closure
PermanentClosing your account does not block re-registration. Self-exclusion is the only mechanism that prevents account reopening.

What is the NH Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program?
A statewide program operated by the New Hampshire Lottery Commission that lets individuals voluntarily ban themselves from sports wagering and charitable gaming venues in NH for terms of 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or lifetime. A single enrollment covers DraftKings Sportsbook (mobile and retail) and licensed charitable gaming venues.
How is the NH program different from DraftKings self-exclusion?
DraftKings’ in-app self-exclusion is operator-specific — it covers only DraftKings Sportsbook. The NH Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program is statewide and covers DraftKings, all charitable gaming venues, NH iLottery, and marketing communications. If you want comprehensive coverage, enroll in the state program.
Can I undo a self-exclusion?
Not during the active term. The 6-month, 1-year, and 5-year terms run their full course. After the term ends, you must actively request reinstatement — it is not automatic. Lifetime self-exclusion cannot be reversed.
Does NH self-exclusion affect out-of-state casinos?
No. The NH program only covers in-state operators and venues. If you travel to Massachusetts, Maine, or other states, their licensed casinos are not bound by NH’s self-exclusion list. Many states have their own voluntary exclusion programs you can enroll in separately.
Will my self-exclusion be public?
No. Self-exclusion records are confidential. Venues use the list only to enforce the exclusion at the door or login. Your name is not shared publicly or with third parties beyond the operators bound by the program.
What if I gamble at a covered venue while excluded?
Any winnings are forfeited to the NH Lottery Commission, and you may be removed from the venue. Repeated violations may also result in trespassing charges. The exclusion exists to protect you from harm — operators are required to enforce it.
Can family members enroll someone else?
No. Self-exclusion must be voluntary and individually enrolled. Family members concerned about a loved one’s gambling should reach out to the NH Council on Problem Gambling at 603-724-1605 or 1-800-GAMBLER for guidance on supporting an at-risk individual.
