BetMGM in New Hampshire
BetMGM is one of the major US sports betting and online casino operators, with a strong national footprint and brand-name MGM Resorts International partnership. But New Hampshire is one of a small number of legal sports betting states where BetMGM cannot operate. Two separate barriers apply.
Why BetMGM Isn't in NH
DraftKings holds the exclusive sportsbook contract
NH awarded its entire sportsbook market to DraftKings in November 2019 after a competitive bidding process. The exclusive contract was extended in February 2026 through June 30, 2028.
Online casino is not legal in NH
Unlike Pennsylvania, Michigan, or New Jersey, New Hampshire has not legalized online casino (iGaming). No operator — BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars — runs a licensed online casino in NH. The state has shown no public interest in legalizing iGaming.
No physical MGM casino presence in NH
BetMGM's competitive advantage in some states is co-marketing with brick-and-mortar MGM Resorts properties. NH has no MGM casino property, so even if NH did legalize multi-operator sportsbook, BetMGM would have less local brand leverage than in NV or MA.
No DFS product
Unlike FanDuel, BetMGM does not operate a daily fantasy sports brand. There is no alternative BetMGM product currently available to NH residents.
The Legal Sportsbook in NH
DraftKings is the only legal sportsbook in NH. New customer offer: Bet $5, get $200 in Bonus Bets. Full review covers app, banking, and markets.

If you travel outside NH, BetMGM is licensed in the following states. Geolocation requires you to be physically inside one of these states at the time of each wager.
Common Questions
Will BetMGM ever come to New Hampshire?
Not before mid-2028 at the earliest — the DraftKings exclusive contract runs through June 30, 2028 with a possible 2-year extension. Even after that, NH would need to actively choose to open competition, which would reduce state revenue significantly.
Can I use BetMGM in Massachusetts or Maine?
Yes. Both Massachusetts and Maine have licensed BetMGM Sportsbook. Geolocation requires you to be physically inside MA or ME when placing a wager. NH residents who travel can use BetMGM in those states.
Is there a BetMGM Casino app in NH?
No. Online casino is not legal in NH for any operator. The closest state with BetMGM Casino is Pennsylvania.
What about BetMGM Poker?
Not legal in NH. Online poker requires state-level legalization, which NH has not enacted.
Does BetMGM have any product I can use in NH?
No legal real-money BetMGM product is available in New Hampshire. BetMGM does not operate a DFS brand. Your only legal sportsbook option in NH is DraftKings.
